Apple Valley to offer Easter Egg-Stravaganza

(Apple Valley)–Hop on over to James Woody Park on Saturday March 30 when the Town of Apple Valley Recreation Department hosts its annual Easter Egg-stravaganza and 5K/10K Bunny Run.

Hosted by the Apple Valley Optimist Club #15017 for more than 40 years, the free Easter egg hunt will begin on Field 1 at 9:30 a.m. sharp! Visitors will enjoy a variety of entertainment and can purchase a $5 wristband for games, face painting, the bounce house and more. The fun lasts until noon.

Check-in for the 5K/10K Bunny Run begins at 7 a.m. for the race that takes off from Field 8 at 8 a.m. Registration fees for runners are $17 before March 29 and $20 on the day of the race. Walkers are free. The first 50 paying registrants will receive a free T-shirt. Separate awards will be given for men, women and children in different age groups.
