Community Services Department hosts springtime family event.
(Victorville)– – The City of Victorville Community Services Department will host its annual Spring Festival and Egg Hunt on March 30, 2013. The event will be held at Hook Park, 14973 Joshua Street in Victorville. The time is from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the Egg Hunts being done at various times by age group (see attached flyer for detailed times).
The Spring Festival & Egg Hunt has become a community favorite, with approximately 3,000 visitors in attendance last year. Vendors also participate in the event, with a Vendor’s Fair offering food, crafts, and display booths. Families will have an opportunity to take pictures with the Springtime Bunny and several scenes, and are being asked to bring their own camera.
Pre-sale tickets are currently on sale for the Egg Hunt for $3.00. Tickets on the day of the event will be $5.00. All participants must present a colored-ticket for entrance to the corresponding Egg Hunt and are also asked to bring their own basket or bag for the eggs.
Additional attractions include a free carnival, picnic games, the Apple Valley Shrine Club and their miniature cars, the Burrtec mini-garbage truck, and a Victorville Police Department squad car. Donations will be accepted for the following youth groups: Boys and Girls Club and the Victor Valley High School Key Club. There will also be several inflatables and rides for kids of all ages. An extra fee will be charged for the inflatables and rides.
