By Staff Reports

(Victorville)– There is no question that social media is here to stay, but sometimes business owners are not quite sure how to set up a Facebook page, feed Twitter or post content to LinkedIn.   If they have gotten that far, most need help tracking ROI or properly marketing their social media presence.  It seems that ‘Social Media for Business’ has pretty much remained a mystery… until now.  Victor Valley College’s Skills 360 Program will equip business users with information and tools they need to maximize the benefits of Social Media for Business in a 12-hour, hands-on class starting April 16th.

Time slips away very quickly for busy professionals in today’s fast-paced environment. Everyone needs ROI data immediately. This can lead to real mistakes by business owners and marketers unfamiliar with how to leverage social media. Programs such as Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are all about building relationships. Like any relationship, these special online relationships take time to blossom. Learn how to use social media as a tool to introduce yourself to your market segment, building relationships through a personal approach rather than bombarding prospective clients with sales messages.

In order to help businesses and local marketers succeed in building these relationships, Victor Valley College has turned to Nancy Trout, a business professional who specializes in social media marketing, analytics, and lead generation in the Financial Services and Real Estate industries. Ms. Trout holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) and has constructed a learning plan that will cover everything from the differences between personal and business social media sites to a practical, actionable plan that includes all aspects of social media marketing. This class, specifically designed for teaching local business about the benefits of social media, will be held on the Victor Valley College campus on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm – 8pm, April 16th – May 2nd.   The cost to attend is only $69 per person.

Space is limited! For more information or to register, please call 760-245-4271 extension 2628 or to learn about additional classes.
