(Victor Valley)–A series of multi-agency crime operations is planned across the High Desert this summer under an initiative by First District Supervisor Robert Lovingood.
Lovingood and San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon recently met to discuss the special funding allocation. Lovingood said he will use $50,000 in discretionary funds to pay for the operations, which will run two or three months.
“Public safety is a top priority, and crime sweeps are a proven tool in combatting criminals,” Lovingood said.
Sheriff’s crime analysts will review local crime trends in developing the plan, Sheriff’s Lt. Anthony Onodera said.
“This will run through the entire High Desert region,” Onodera said. “It’s going to be multiple agencies operating in multiple locations.”
