(Apple Valley) – Shake, Rattle and Roll Out to the Annual Apple Valley Emergency Preparedness fair on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, this fourth annual event will feature presentations, demonstrations and information to keep area residents safe.
Visitors to the event can see fire trucks, police cars and California Highway Patrol helicopters; learn how to purify water, use a fire extinguisher, store food and turn off the gas in an emergency. This family friendly event will also feature puppet shows, raffle prizes, free lunch and more.
A limited supply of 72-hour food kits will be available for $10 each and shuttle service will be offered from the Lewis Center to the event site at the church at 15500 Tuscola Road in Apple Valley.
This event is made possible through the support of the Town of Apple Valley, The Apple Valley Fire Protection District, St. Mary Medical Center, Apple Valley Ranchos Water Company, Apple Valley Unified School District and the American Red Cross.
