(Victorville)– Lane closures at the Intersection of 7th Street and D Street are planned for May 28th and May 29th Beginning from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Motorists should expect delays when utilizing this route. This is required in order to conduct research on existing utilities in preparation for the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority’s (VVWRA) Upper Narrows Pipeline Realignment project planned to begin construction this winter. The Upper Narrows Pipeline Realignment project will realign VVWRA’s main interceptor so that it’s no longer in the Mojave River to avoid future weather‐related damage to the agency’s infrastructure.
D Street will be down to one lane in both directions between Hesperia Road and 5th Street. 7th Street will be down to one lane in both directions from C Street to D Street. There will be no left turn at the intersection from 7th Street onto D Street.
For your safety and that of the construction workers, please use caution, expect delays, and SLOW FOR THE CONE ZONE if you need to use 7th Street or D Street during this time as there will be construction flagmen guiding traffic and working in the area. For more information on work zone safety please visit http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/conezone/workersafety.htm.
