(Victorville)– To showcase housing opportunities, including down payment assistance programs and available homes, the City of Victorville and NPHS will host a Home Buyer Expo at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at the Victorville City Hall, 14343 Civic Drive, Victorville, CA 92392.
Amidst a time of volatility in the housing market, in which cash investors are consistently outbidding traditional buyers, the event seeks to engage local residents about a variety of programs and services exclusively offered to first-time buyers.
““This Expo will be a great opportunity for our residents to receive information about our programs” said Tamara Torres, Housing Manager for the City of Victorville. “We believe that the American Dream is alive and well, and we want to help local families succeed in homeownership.”
Prospective buyers will be able to learn about the home buying process, down payment assistance programs, affordable homes, and receive educational information on the importance of budgeting and saving. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to speak to local lenders about available mortgage products.
“With low interest rates available through the lenders, these products create a perfect combination to get a family into a home,” said David Quintanilla, Outreach Coordinator for NPHS. “Some families may be able to qualify for up to $40,000 in down payment assistance.
