The celebration begins at 2 p.m. at the Lenny Brewster Sports Center. This day-long celebration will feature live music, retail vendors, a children’s play area and much more. The popular beer garden will complement a variety of food booths featuring funnel cakes, kettle corn, fresh lemonade and barbecue.

Frolic in streams of red, white and blue water when the Apple Valley Fire District Explorers turn their hoses on to beat the heat at 4:15 p.m. At 5 p.m. watch the newly crowned Apple Valley Idol winners perform and stop by the Town’s recreation booth to participate in children’s games, crafts and face painting.

This year’s headlining performer is Wanted, a Los Angeles based Bon Jovi tribute band, that will take the stage from 6:30 to 9 p.m., preceded by variety band Lady & the Tramps entertaining the daytime crowd. The evening culminates with the largest fireworks show in the High Desert beginning at 9 p.m.
