(Victor Valley)– Senator Steve Knight (R-Antelope Valley) has announced naming Patricia Gracia and Patsy Ayala as co-Woman of the Year Award recipients. Senator Knight had the pleasure of presenting Resolutions to the honorees on Thursday at Santa Clarita City Hall with family and friends present, followed by a small reception. Photos upon request.
“Both of these highly motivated, highly determined women have been a huge asset to this community” Senator Knight added, “They have shown a true commitment to building a strong and robust economy in the Santa Clarita Valley. I am grateful for their hard work both professionally and personally and I am happy to recognize them as the 21st Senate District’s Women of the Year.”
Patricia Gracia is the Founder and President of Power Media Group Inc. and Power Woman Business Center. Power Media Group began in 2001when Patricia decided to open an advertising agency in her San Fernando Valley apartment, with nothing more than a computer, fax and telephone. Today, she and her husband Tony Gracia, manage a multi-million dollar enterprise that specializes in creating Spanish language media campaigns for high-profile clients seeking to reach the growing Hispanic market. Patricia also founded Power Woman Business Center with the mission to create jobs in order to stimulate the economy. The PWBC facility provides office equipment such as cubicles, computers, fax machines, telephones, Internet, along with a conference room. The organization provides training and leadership seminars, business planning and networking strategies to any of its members. It is this kind of dedication, along with community and board member support, that allows the program to exist. She is a mother of two beautiful children, Vanessa and Michael-Anthony.
Patsy Ayala has worked for major companies including Azteca Television, Mobil Oil and General Electric where she played an integral role in Human Resources. While she has an extensive corporate background she also has an entrepreneurial passion. Patsy has owned different fitness franchises with locations throughout Santa Clarita. She is co-founder of the Ex-A-Tec California Alumni association, and is also the CEO for her newest venture, Nuestros Valles/Our Valleys Magazine, the first bilingual magazine catering to the middle/high income bilingual and Hispanic residents within Santa Clarita and surrounding valleys. She is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clarita Valley Latino Chamber of Commerce and is always involved and participating in most of the community events coordinated by SCVLCC, as well as the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Patsy is married to Julio del Rio and has two lovely sons Santiago and Rodrigo.
