VVC Paramedic Program Instructors Present Award Winning Simulation Program At World Conference

(Victorville)– The world conference of the Human Patient Simulation Network (HPSN) included within its program schedule, the work of two VVC Paramedic Program instructors, David Oleson and Brian Hendrickson at an international conference held in San Francisco this past weekend. Two presentations, created by VVC instructors, introduced the College’s unique Simulation Program to participants in healthcare, educators and industry partners.

The presentations entitled, “Falling Forward – Our Journey towards Immersive EMS Simulation” and “Falling Forward – Success Defined, An Operational Day at VVC” included two one-hour sessions on the ground-up development of these award winning programs.

In addition to the presentation, the Simulation Program was being awarded the “Educator Innovators Award” and the College will be recognized at a ceremony on July 1st at 5:15 p.m. at the conference. Both Oleson and Hendrickson have also been asked to serve as judges for the METI-Cup Simulation Competition for EMS Providers.

The presentations have further been entered in a contest entitled, Viewer’s Choice Award as a part of the conference. The video with the most “likes” on its College’s YouTube channel will be selected to win the award. People were allowed to vote by “liking” the video in the playlist on the College’s site.
