(Victor Valley)– Senator Knight invites you to participate in an upcoming telephone townhall regarding the confusing and controversial “California Fire Prevention Fee.” This event is being sponsored by Board of Equalization Member George Runner, State Senators Steve Knight, Tom Berryhill, and Anthony Cannella, Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway, and Assemblymembers Frank Bigelow, Shannon Grove, Jim Patterson and Scott Wilk.
The telephone townhall will take place Wednesday, August 28 at 6 PM. Taxpayers in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera and Tulare counties are specifically invited to participate in this event, but everyone is welcome.
During the call, the elected officials will discuss the latest fire tax news and answer questions from callers.
Interested participants who pre-register will receive a telephone call at the start of the event inviting them to connect to the townhall.
“There is a great deal of confusion surrounding California Fire Prevention Fee. I understand there are many questions and concerns regarding the tax, and my goal is to aid and assist my constituents in whatever way possible. I wish to have a free and open dialogue to provide answers as well as present the most up-to-date and accurate information.”
