Apple Valley To Host LifeStream Blood Drive

By Staff Reports

(Apple Valley)– It is so easy to save a life and only takes a few minutes. Come and find out how simple it is on Tuesday, September 17 when the Town of Apple Valley hosts its next LifeStream blood drive.

Donating blood takes about an hour, yet gives someone a lifetime. Healthy individuals at least 15 years of age who are free of infections or illness and weigh at least 110 pounds are eligible to donate. All prospective donors receive a free mini-physical as part of the donation process. Donors under 17 must provide LifeStream with a completed parental consent form that is available at the donation site.

If saving a life isn’t enough of an incentive, LifeStream is giving away other enticing goodies for each donation including snacks and beverages. Donors also earn loyalty points from LifeStream that can be redeemed for other complimentary items.

Walk-ins are welcome, but with these great incentives, it may be best to make an appointment by calling 1-800-TRY-GIVING or visiting their website at http://www.lstream.org/.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Town of Apple Conference Center at 14975 Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley adjacent to Town Hall. Contact LifeStream at 1-800-TRY-GIVING or Town of Apple Valley Public Relations Specialist Charlene Engeron at (760) 240-7000 x7072 for more information.
