(Victor Valley)– On Sunday, September 29, the International Footprint Association Victor Valley Chapter will be hosting an All-You-Can-Eat Pancake bar and breakfast at Fireside Restaurant located at 14144 Green Tree Boulevard in Victorville from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. Expect to eat pancakes to your heart’s content along with eggs, sausage and coffee or juice for a $10 donation. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Fireside Restaurant has donated 4 rounds of golf among other prizes for attendees.

Rob McCoy, President of the Footprinters Victor Valley Chapter, tells High Desert Daily about the vision of the non-profit organization in an interview, “It’s a liaison organization that brings community members and law enforcement together and the general premise is that law enforcement needs the community to accomplish its mission. This organization serves to help build a bridge between the community and law enforcement so we can have mutual cooperation.”

As a non-profit organization, the Footprinters depend on events like this to raise funds for whenever a need arises in the community. McCoy gives examples of who could benefit, “If maybe a school group or a youth group, anyone in our community recognized a need that we could serve to benefit, we could put those funds to use.”

An example of that use is through a long-standing relationship between the Footprinters and a High Desert dentist. “One of the initial beneficiaries of the Footprinters was a local dentist who would reach out to under-privileged children who normally couldn’t afford dentistry or orthodontics and he would provide those services to the children through the funds we provided.”

The Footprinters are looking forward to expanding their services to the community as McCoy explains, “We really want to expand our purpose within the community and we don’t want to be tied to just one benefactor. We would like to be able to serve to benefit any facet of the community. For instance, maybe it involves a food drive or a clothing drive now that we’re getting close to the holidays. We’ve got quite a few things in mind that we’d like to do.”

Be sure to enjoy All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes at Fireside Restaurant on Sunday, September 29. You will have a delicious breakfast while supporting the High Desert Community.
