(Victor Valley)– Many of us have felt the pain that cancer causes, whether it be through personal experience, a friend or family member who may be battling or lost their battle with cancer, or those of us who have been following the stories of 10 year old, Jayson Brown and pregnant mother of 4, Melanie Hipsher.
Jayson Brown just lost his battle with Neuroblastoma cancer last week, and Melanie has just gone through a mastectomy and is under doctor’s care trying to give her baby a few more weeks for her lungs to strengthen before she is born.
Jayson and Melanie and their families have captured the hearts of many of us in the High Desert. They have bravely shared their stories with us, to help provide a stronger sense of awareness of the struggles of battling cancer and the need for more funding and testing to better understand this very unfair disease. Cancer knows no age limits, gender, race or even social status, it is sadly an equal opportunity killer. As in the case of Jayson a 10-year-old little boy and Melanie a RN herself who now is on the opposite side of the medical care situation.
Faith’s Hope Foundation together with ExecuDeeVa events and Green Tree Inn have put together an event that brings together the community in a breast cancer/ cancer awareness, fundraising event. “Paint Halloween Pink and Purple” is not your usual fundraiser. It is a celebration of life, the American Red Cross will be out taking sign ups for a Blood drive in young Jayson Browns honor.
The event will include costume contests, dance contests, free massages, free professional hair and make up makeovers, discounted hair services, multiple vendors, medical providers, free mammograms, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, food, drinks, music, raffles and live auction prizes, food and drinks and Survival stories shared by cancer survivors and families.
Join us for a very special ceremonial balloon release in the name of Jayson Brown and other loved ones that have lost their battle with cancer and also those still fighting cancer. Write the name of your special cancer patient and release the balloon in their memory. Followed by a dove release ceremony in Jayson’s honor.
Don’t miss out on this very special celebration of life and fundraiser to help two families dear to our hearts that desperately need our help and support.
