(Hesperia)– Locally-owned book boutique Hi Desert Book Oasis is hosting a series of Christmas events for the community this season. Families will enjoy the second annual “Polar Express” storytime, complete with snack and craft. Come in your pajamas and enjoy hot cocoa and a heartwarming story.
After this summer’s popular Books & Beats concerts in the courtyard, Hi Desert Book Oasis has invited popular local musicians to bring their talent to the warm and cozy cafe area. This Friday, December 13 from 1-4 pm, local Irish band Windy Pass will perform Christmas songs as part of the stores popular “Books & Beats” concert series. Saturday, December 14, from 5-7 pm, vocalist Lisa Marie Williams will perform her favorite holiday tunes as well. The following weekend, classic country crooners Charlie Ray and Linda Washington will perform as well.
The 2,000 square foot used bookstore has already hosted a story time with local author Anna Marie Eloise Hernandez, reading her original story “O Holy Night”, and had their first Books & Beats Christmas concert with Barkdull last weekend.
Thank you for sharing about our events, High Desert Daily! You guys are awesome! Our family really enjoys putting on these events for the community – we hope our neighbors will join us! 🙂
