(Adelanto)– In response to the State of California’s recent changes to school funding, the Adelanto Elementary School District (AESD) is hosting a series of meetings for parents of Adelanto students, faculty and other community members.
LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula) is the new method used by the state to fund our schools. LCFF will give school districts:
• More money for high-need students
• A shift on funding decisions from state to school districts
• Give local flexibility on how to spend funds
• Accountability plans and the need for parent input
This is a significant opportunity for our district to close the achievement gap for our students, and take valuable input from all our stakeholders. Parents and community members are strongly encouraged to attend. Translation and babysitting services will be available during the meetings, and refreshments will be served.
