(Victorville)– VVGMC will repeat the popular drive thru flu shot clinics for the 2013-14 flu season beginning Tuesday through Thursday, January 28 to 30th, from 8am to 10am, or until vaccines run out. The free flu vaccines will be administered via walk up clinic at the marketing office at the hospital on Eleventh Street. One-hundred (100) vaccines will be available. Signs will be posted directing participants to the marketing office.
Victor Valley Global Medical Center is located at 15248 Eleventh Street in Victorville. Adults who are currently ill, have had previous reactions to flu vaccines or have ever had Guillain-Barre syndrome will not be able to receive the flu vaccine. Adults with severe egg allergies should not receive the flu vaccine. Vaccines are available on a first come, first served basis and will be administered only to adults ages 18 and older. All participants will be screened by nursing staff before the flu vaccine will be administered. At the discretion of nursing staff, some adults may be denied vaccine based upon screening criteria.
