(Victor Valley)– tpsCreative Expressions invites all to sign-up for FREE workshops in the Arts for youth ages 9-12 with a family member 18 years and older. Serving the entire Victor Valley the workshops are open to everyone. The workshops will focus on “Justice- Expressed in African American and Hispanic American Art.”
The workshops are lead by a group of professional, eager, fun, energetic and committed instructors from all of the Arts. One example of instructors, John Zeretske, just back from his 2014 music mission to the Philippines will conduct his award winning program of Flutes Across the World with African American/Hispanic American flute making and music focused on the expression of Justice in the arts within both of those cultures.
Other engaging workshops offered will include:
Dance (Hip-Hop, Line Dance, Salsa, Step)
Drama (Reader’s Theatre)
Music (Songwriting, Instrument making)
Creative Writing (Poetry, Personal Stories)
Visual Arts (Painting, Print-making, Collage)
Dates of workshops are:
- Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Music and Drama: March 8, 15, 29 and April 5
- Cultural Dance: March 22, 29 April 5, 12, May 3, May 17
Workshops Exhibition: Cinco de Mayo at Victor Valley College: May 3
Grand Finale and Celebration: May 17, 2014
