First Annual Legacy Scholarships and Grand Awards

(Victor Valley)– The Dreamers, Visionaries and Leaders Project, an Affiliate Fund of the High Desert Community Foundation, announces the First Annual Legacy Scholarships and Grant Awards memorializing four past DVL Honorees:  Dr. Gerard Brown, Ms. Leona Griner, Bishop Nathaniel Ruffin and Ms. Jackie Wilson.

DVL Project Founder Regina Weatherspoon-Bell stated, “The Honorees made outstanding contributions to the High Desert region during their lifetimes. These three scholarships and one grant, each in the amount of five hundred dollars, will be awarded to three students and to one not-for-profit organization who best represent the visions and legacies of the Honorees.”

Details about the Honorees and their awards are available on the DVL website, www.dvlproject.org.   Barbara Morrow Williams, a 2014 DVL Honoree, is Chair of the Legacy Scholarships and Grant Award Project.
