(Victor Valley)– Senator Steve Knight (R-Antelope Valley) is coordinating an informational meeting for residents of Lancaster and elsewhere who may be affected by an increase in rates proposed by the California Water Service Company (Cal Water).
Cal Water customers were shocked to learn that their water bills were proposed for a large increase and have asked their government representatives to investigate the issue. Senator Knight heard some of the comments at his town hall last year and has since been involved in the issue.
“Water is the lifeblood of California, and we are enormously reliant on this resource being provided from sources outside the High Desert,” said Senator Knight. “Since our communities are so dependent, we must keep a watchful eye for being taken advantage of, and my hope is this meeting will shed light on potential rate increases.”
