(Apple Valley)– Candidate for the 33rd Assembly District, Art Bishop will host a Meet & Greet at the Lake Gregory Yacht Club on Thursday, May 1 from 5-7 PM. “I am looking forward to meeting the citizens of our mountain communities. We share a common love of the outdoors and this will be a fun event,” said Bishop. “I look forward to seeing area residents and learning how I can best serve these communities should I receive the honor of representing them in the Assembly.” Bishop is a retired fire chief and currently serves as Mayor of The Town of Apple Valley.

Bishop is campaigning for the assembly seat being vacated by Tim Donnelly. Bishop, a 35 year resident of the High Desert, received the endorsement of Donnelly. The 33rd Assembly District encompasses a wide expanse of the High Desert and the Mountains, with a population of close to half-a-million in 22 communities. Bishop, an Army veteran, lives in Apple Valley with his wife of 43 years Kathy, a retired teacher.
