(Victor Valley)– Supervisor James Ramos has announced that he, personally, will give an additional $1,500 to the Third District nonprofit with the highest number of donors at the end of the Give BIG San Bernardino County web-a-thon.

Give BIG San Bernardino County is a 24-hour online giving campaign on May 8, 2014 that allows you to give to your favorite causes in our community. From 7 a.m. on May 8th to 6:59 a.m. on May 9th, supporters of San Bernardino County nonprofits can go online, connect with causes they care about and make a donation.

In addition to raising funds, Supervisor Ramos hopes nonprofits will reach out and make new connections within the community. To do so, he has come up with his own way of challenging his district’s nonprofits to raise awareness about the amazing services these nonprofits provide to our residents.

“I am so proud of the Third District for stepping up and bringing over 130 nonprofits to the table.  While we try to bolster our nonprofits, it is vital that they work to bolster themselves,” stated Supervisor Ramos. “That is why I personally will be giving an additional $1,500 to the Third District nonprofit with the highest number of donors at the end of Give BIG.  I challenge you as nonprofits to pick up the phone, send an email, knock on a door and spread the word about your nonprofit and the great work you do.”
