(Victorville)– Careers in Aviation are available and reports from The Boeing Company and the International Civil Aviation Organization point to anticipated shortages in skilled aviation maintenance professionals. Victor Valley College is working with organizations like the FAA and Pacific Aviation Group to help fill this need.
Current VVC students Eric Morrison and David Johnston, , were recently hired as full time aircraft support agents for Pacific Aviation Group a subsidiary company of ComAV. David & Eric are in charge of quality control, aircraft component inventory, aircraft part evaluation and identification. Once they complete VVC’s aviation maintenance certificate program they are in a key position to move up to an aircraft maintenance technician position. Aviation Department Director, Christopher Ohshita expressed nothing but pride in his assessment of how hard these students have worked and how rewarding it is to see them progress towards their career goals and achieve success. “ComAv – Pacific Aviation Group are leaders in the Aircraft business and will provide endless opportunities for David and Eric. Eric Morrison – ” I’m really excited about my new job working at Pacific Aviation Group. I really enjoy working with aircraft and aircraft components. I’m learning so much about aircraft and aircraft asset management, the best part is I can apply what I learn at work to what I’m learning at aviation school.”
David Johnston – “Pacific Aviation Group is a really cool place to work. I’m learning so much about aviation safety practices and protocols, aircraft asset management. Working at PAG has really offered great hands on opportunities for me to work with aircraft.”
