(Victorville)– The Songwriter Showcase returns in September with an evening of original music and/or spoken word performed by the writer is designed as a artist networking event and to inspire performers with an audience of their peers. The general audience gets treated to an evening of an eclectic mix of live music.
With musical host Soul Pattern Project (www.soulpatternproject.us) singer-songwriter, producer and recording artist Maggie Vee says “This is an evening built for artist networking and enjoyment with a relaxed an inviting atmosphere it’s like playing in your own living room and talking with friends. Original material is presented and artists are encouraged to speak of their work and just have fun with it, this allows the artist to present material to peers that they may not be performing elsewhere for feedback and provides an outlet for the creative spirit for preparation of future work. It also gives the general audience a glimpse into the creative process.”
The event attracts serious performing artists, both local and out of the area in a wide range of music genres, as well as authors, activists and agents.
To qualify you must be able to perform your original piece of music or spoken word live, with a maximum of 1 accompaniment as space and time is limited.
