Taylion Academy Hosts LifeStream Blood Drive on December 4th

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)—On December 4th, Taylion Academy will be hosting a LifeStream blood drive at their Victorville site.

The blood drive will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Taylion’s Victorville campus, located at 14196 Amargosa Road, Suite C in Victorville. For every donation, participants receive coupons for a free milkshake and two free tacos, courtesy of Jack in the Box. The blood drive was arranged by Taylion High Desert Academy’s ASB, led by ASB Advisor Phillip Gutierrez.

When asked why the blood drive was important for the school to get involved in, Gutierrez said, “To me it’s important because of how many people that can be helped just by donating blood. You never know when you or someone you love will be in need of blood and for just a little time out of your day you can help save lives.”

Donors are reminded to drink plenty of fluids and to bring photo identification with you. If you are 15 or 16, please bring a signed LifeStream parental consent form. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged and receive priority. Appointments can be made for the blood drive by contacting Phillip Gutierrez at (760) 246-0088.
