Dreamers, Visionaries & Leaders Project to Recognize Extraordinary Accomplishments

(Victor Valley)– The Dreamers, Visionaries & Leaders (DVL) Project is excited to announce the 7th Annual Dreamers, Visionaries & Leaders Tribute Program “A Century of Black Life, History & Culture,” honoring local High Desert individuals for their professional accomplishments and community service. “Once again it’s our privilege to recognize extraordinary individuals for their professional accomplishments and community service. We are honoring a total of 11 local High Desert citizens,” states DVL Founder, Regina Weatherspoon-Bell.

Join the celebration of Black History Month and the 2015 DVL Honorees for an afternoon of honor, history and entertainment featuring this year’s honorees lead by two DVL Lifetime Achievement Honorees, Mrs. Eloise Gibson and George A. Armstrong III, Colonel, USAF (Ret).  The Tribute Program is FREE to the public, Saturday, February 7, 2015, 1pm at the Victor Valley College Performing Arts Center.

We are excited to announce that Kim Fields (“Facts of Life”, “Living Single”) is our Mistress of Ceremony and Dawnn Lewis from “A Different World” is a special guest performer.   This year we will present, the DVL ICON Award to Artist Extraordinaire’, Mr. Charles Bibbs.  Mr. Bibbs’ art chronicles the “Black Life Experience” and he’s collected by some of the most prestigious individuals, museums, and galleries globally.

This is an afternoon of entertainment, education and enlightenment!   We look forward to celebrating the legacies and contributions that local High Desert citizens have made to our community- Join Us!
