Featured Video: Water Conservation and Education Project Submissions Due January 15

(Apple Valley)—Applications are due January 15, 2015 for the Mojave Water Agency Strategic Partners Program (SPP). Forms are available online on the Alliance for Water Awareness and Conservation website at www.hdawac.org

Established in 2003, the program provides grants to organizations that further water conservation and education in the MWA service area. Previous strategic partners include Barstow Community College, Copper Mountain College, Victor Valley College, Mojave Desert Resource Conservation District, the Mojave Environmental Education Consortium, and the Lewis Center for Educational Research.

Recent projects include: demonstration gardens, school science programs, invasive species removal, development of a water resource certificate program, college scholarships, and school gardens.
