(Apple Valley)– Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co. has begun a $600,000 water main replacement project in the area of Rincon, Seneca and Shoshonee Roads in Apple Valley.
This infrastructure improvement replaces and upsizes a decades old 12” steel water main with a 20” ductile iron pipe. Scheduled for completion in April, approximately 2,600 feet of pipe will be replaced.
“This main was identified in our water main transmission study as an important replacement to improve system hydraulics and fire protection,” said Michael Lent, construction coordinator, Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co.
Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co. has notified customers in the area to ensure everyone is aware of the construction and possible minor traffic delays.
This replacement project is the first of a five-phase replacement plan that will continue south to Sitting Bull Road.
Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co. will also make every effort to use local businesses first for materials and equipment necessary to complete this project.
Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co. acknowledges the inconvenience this important project may cause for some people and appreciates their patience while this necessary work is underway. Anyone with questions about this or any other construction project can contact Michael Lent at firstname.lastname@example.org.
