(Victor Valley)– Join Arrowhead Regional Medical Center at their Diabetes Health Fair to learn more about diabetes and what you can do to help prevent it. The event takes place Tuesday, March 17th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at ARMC in the Main Lobby, First Floor, located at 400 North Pepper Ave. in Colton.
Free blood glucose screenings will be provided, as well as height; weight; and Body Mass Index (BMI) checks to measure body fat. A dietitian will be available to answer your questions. Stop by the event to get tested and to obtain educational information.
This event is being held to help kick off the American Diabetes Association Alert Day on March 24. On Alert Day, individuals are urged to take a diabetes risk test to find out if they are at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes, which can lead to heart disease, stroke, nerve damage, and kidney or eye problems. Participants will have an opportunity to take the test at the event.
