(Apple Valley) – The Village Artist Collective will host two paint and spruce up days April 7 & 8 from 3p-6p all volunteer artists are welcome. Come let the kids see us throw some color up and brighten once again the Paul Swick Family Center / Yucca Loma School. The on-going “Home to Harvest” Community Garden Project is located at 21351 Yucca Loma Road in Apple Valley.
The community is invited on April 18, 11a -1p at Community Garden Day. VAC will be there to conduct a free community workshop “Paint a Garden Hubcap” with parents, students and the community. The art will then be installed at the site for all to see and enjoy. Community Garden Day celebrates the “Home to Harvest” garden project where you can learn and grow your own food! Bring the entire family for a perfect day in the garden!
The Village Art Collective seeks to enhance the destination environment by cultivating and supporting an art and music community within The Village of Apple Valley with an affiliation of professional artists, musicians and creative organizations that will establish on-going art related experiences for the public and establish a vibrant, thriving environment of the arts. The Apple Valley Village Business District offers an advantageous mix of commercial uses including retail stores, service-related businesses, warehousing and light industry. It runs along Highway 18, generally between Navajo Road on the west to Mesquite Road on the east, and from Ottawa Road on the south to as far north as Esaws Avenue.
Good paint discards and recycle hub-caps will be accepted for this project.
