(Victorville) – Online registrations are still being accepted for the for the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District’s 2015 Electric Lawn Mower Exchange Event, which provides High Desert residents with the opportunity to scrap their old, gas-powered lawn mower and purchase one of 300 emission-free, cordless electric models, starting at only $99. Only pre-registered residents may bring their operable, gasoline-powered lawn mower – emptied of all gas and oil – to the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville this Saturday, April 18 and exchange it for one of two Greenstation lawn mower models: a 20” cutting width mower with a 24 volt battery for $99 (regular price is $425) or a 19” self-propelled mower with a 24 volt battery for $139 (regular price: $469). One lawn mower per household will be exchanged during the event, which runs between the hours of 8:00AM and 12:00 Noon. Unregistered mowers will not be accepted.
