(Victorville)— The Victorville City Library is proud to present Money Smart Week at the Victorville City Library.  A series of workshops will take place beginning Monday, April 20 through Thursday, April 23 at the Victorville City Library located at 15011 Circle Drive, Victorville.   Each workshop has limited space, be sure to call the City Library today to reserve your spot for each workshop,(760) 245-4222.

Keeping Safe From Scam Artists

Anyone can be a victim of financial abuse. There are lots of scam artists out there, and lots of people too willing to trust them. Seniors are often the target of these scams. The older generation is thought to be more trusting – raised to believe that a man’s word is his bond. And many have built up a nice nest egg from years of saving and investing. But by knowing what to look out for, and what not to fall for, you can keep your money and your belongings safe from greedy hands. The County Department of Aging and Adult Services will be holding a workshop on these topics on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm.

Bring them to our first ever Craft Supply Swap!  Join us for Adult Crafting with Mickey at 10:00 am and stay for the craft supply swap immediately following. Supplies may include but are not limited to fabric, thread, ribbon, sewing notions, buttons, patterns, crafting books, scrapbook supplies, adhesives, painting supplies, embroidery hoops & floss, yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles, beads and beading supplies. The Victorville City Library is located at 15011 Circle Drive, Victorville, CA 92395.  The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm.  Friday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Saturday hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
