(Victor Valley)—Doh! Universal Studios Hollywood, the entertainment capital of Los Angeles has brought to life one of the most beloved animated worlds to hit the small screen with the opening of Springfield, home to The Simpsons.

The new land surrounds the already existing and ultra popular attraction, The Simpsons Ride. Fans of the animated phenomenon will automatically recognize the iconic buildings and structures from the 26 season and still running cartoon. I was immersed in the colorful backdrop of the world, seeing familiar faces and names at every turn: from Lard Lad’s Donuts, with the famous, massive pink donuts Homer craves, to the down and out watering hole, Moe’s Tavern, to a fully operational Krusty Burger. Yes, you can actually say you had a meal at Krusty Burger.

Of course, Krusty’s isn’t the only eatery in Springfield, as Luigi’s Pizza, Cletus’s Chicken Shack, and Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck were all serving up some amazing food.  Springfield adds to the Simpson’s goodness that already existed, which included The Simpsons Ride, which features the look of the instantly recognizable Krusty Land, as well as everyone’s favorite convenience store, the Kwik-E-Mart.

Fans from across the world came together to see the newest themed land at Universal Studios Hollywood. It’s hard not to enjoy yourself when you are surrounded by Duff Gardens, Dr. Nicks, the Android’s Dungeon, and new characters walking the park like Krusty the Clown and the always evil, super resilient Sideshow Bob. Universal Studios Hollywood did an amazing job recreating one of the most beloved animated series of all time. The attention to detail clearly shines, and lifelong fans of the franchise, like myself, couldn’t stop smiling.
