(Victor Valley) – Coldwell Banker Home Source is teaming up with VVAPL Humane Society to participate in the first-ever Homes for Dogs National Pet Adoption Weekend. This nationwide event is part of the “Homes for Dogs Project,” a national campaign hosted by and Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, which aims to find homes for 20,000 adoptable dogs in 2015.

To help reach this goal, local Coldwell Banker® offices across the United States, along with shelters and rescue groups in the network, are joining forces for one of the largest adoption events of the year. Coldwell Banker Home Source and VVAPL Humane Society will be hosting their event on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1 at VVAPL Humane Society, 21779 Zuni Road in Apple Valley from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“We couldn’t be more excited to take part in this national movement to find homes for dogs,” said Terry Saenz, VVAPL Humane Society Public Relations Representative. “We know this nationwide event will help draw attention to the thousands of adoptable pets in need of homes and truly make an impact on the Victor Valley.”

“Dogs have and always will be such as integral part of our homes,” said Chris Lamoreaux, Broker/Realtor affiliated with Colwell Banker Home Source in Victorville, CA. “From the moment they greet us at the front door, they are our constant companions. We are proud to be a part of this outstanding campaign.”

“We’re very grateful to Coldwell Banker for not only highlighting our adoptable pets during this national adoption weekend, but also for featuring our ‘Dog of the Week’ every ‘Woof Wednesday’ on their Facebook page,” Said Kathy Williamson, VVAPL Humane Society Executive Director. “We look forward to hosting this event for years to come.”

Coldwell Banker launched the “Homes for Dogs Project” earlier this year with the brand’s national television commercial, “Home’s Best Friend,” which aired on the 87th Academy Awards on February 22, 2015.
