Hesperia City Manager Tenders Resignation
By Staff Reports
(Hesperia)– After serving in the position for 10 years Hesperia City Manager, Mike Podegracz, tendered his resignation during closed session at the July 7, 2015 City Council meeting. While the City Council Members were surprised to receive his resignation, they remain confident that the City will continue to grow and prosper as the vision for Hesperia’s future evolves in the coming years.
“Mike is a dedicated manager who led the City through a devastating economic recession,” said Mayor Eric Schmidt. “My fellow Council Members and I appreciate the leadership and commitment he has shown to Hesperia during his tenure and wish him every success in the future.”
While retiring from municipal government, Podegracz is looking forward to new challenges and opportunities in the other sectors.
“I’m proud of what the City of Hesperia has accomplished during my time as City Manager,” said Mike Podegracz. “Completing the Ranchero Underpass and Interchange, opening new retail and dining opportunities and ensuring the financial stability of the City, I am honored to have been part of the team that shaped Hesperia into the city it is today.”
The City Council accepted Podegracz’s offer to stay aboard until his replacement is selected. It is anticipated that this process will be completed by December 1, 2015.
