Mavericks Host Independence Fireworks at Heritage Field

(Adelanto) — In honor of Independence Day, the High Desert Mavericks, Advanced-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, are hosting an Independence Weekend of post-game fireworks shows at Heritage Field. On Saturday, July 4, a spectacular Independence Day fireworks show will light up the sky for over 15 minutes, and on Sunday, July 5, the post-game fireworks show will begin promptly after Jack in the Box “Kids Run the Bases”.

The Mavericks’ opening game of an upcoming seven-game homestand is set for a 7:05 P.M. first pitch on Saturday, July 4. The parking lot at Heritage Field will open that evening at 4:00 P.M. with a cost of $2.00 per car. No trailers or RV’s will be permitted into the parking lot for tailgating. Propane or gas grills will be allowed for tailgating – no charcoal grills will be permitted in the parking lot. There will be restroom facilities set up in the parking lot area for fans arriving early to tailgate. Handicap accessible parking is available in the parking lot at Heritage Field at no cost.

Heritage Field’s gates open at 5:30 P.M on July 4. Coolers, ice chests or outside food/beverage will not be permitted inside the gates. Guests may bring in one, un-opened 20 oz. bottle of water per person. Fans with General Admission/Grass Berm tickets may bring blankets, but no lawn chairs or umbrellas will be allowed inside the park.

The first 500 fans through the gates on Saturday will receive a four-card sheet set of selected High Desert Mavericks players as a part of our “Signature Saturday” series. In addition, there will be an autograph session of those highlighted players for fans to collect their signatures from 5:30 – 5:45 P.M. At the conclusion of the July 4 and July 5 games, all kids 12 and under are invited to run the bases, courtesy of Jack in the Box. Upon exit of the field, each child will receive a coupon for a free item at Jack in the Box.

The post-game Independence Weekend Fireworks shows will begin after Kids Run the Bases. For this special July 4 game, all fans are invited to come down onto the field with their family and friends to watch the extravagant 15-minute fireworks show.

The High Desert Mavericks will be taking on the Colorado Rockies affiliate, the Modesto Nuts on July 4 and 5. Limited fixed seats remain for July 4, but plenty remain for the July 5 contest. For tickets and more information, fans can visit or call the front office at 760-246- 6287.
