(Victor Valley) – Cal State San Bernardino was named among the nation’s Best of the Best in colleges and universities for its outstanding work with Hispanic and military veteran students.
In its annual ranking, Hispanic Network Magazine listed 77 colleges, universities and business schools, including Cal State San Bernardino in its review of the nation’s Best of the Best in the following categories: employers, supplier diversity programs, schools, disability-friendly companies, as well as LGBT-friendly companies.
Along with CSUSB, the list included 11 other CSU campuses: Dominguez Hills, Fresno, Fullerton, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Northridge, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose and the San Diego State University College of Business.
The Hispanic Network Magazine list is as a result of polling hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies for its Best of the Best evaluations. Hispanic Network Magazine created the lists in which Latinos, Latinas, Hispanics, Native Americans and other minorities have access to all applicable business and career opportunities.
CSUSB was also listed among 158 colleges and universities in U.S. Veterans Magazine’s 2015 evaluation of the nation’s Best of the Best top veteran-friendly companies, top supplier diversity programs, top VBOs and SDVBOs, top government and law enforcement agencies, top veteran-friendly franchises and top veteran-friendly schools.
CSUSB was one of three CSU campuses, San Diego and San Marcos were the other two that were listed as veteran-friendly schools.
U.S. Veterans Magazine (USVM) polled hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies for its Best of the Best evaluations. U.S. Veterans Magazine created to poll to open up employment, business and supplier opportunities within the federal government and corporate America for veterans, transitioning service members, disabled veterans, spouses and veteran business owners.
Both Hispanic Network Magazine and U.S. Veterans Magazine Best of the Best lists are an annual review and evaluation of the nation’s employers, initiatives, government agencies and educational institutions. These nonbiased studies are valuable resources for jobseekers, business owners, students, consumers, senior management, business associations, employment agencies and consumer groups.
The Best of the Best listings are among the latest where Cal State San Bernardino has been named among the nation’s best. Recently, Princeton Review, Forbes and MONEY Magazine listed CSUSB among the nation’s best colleges. Other listings include U.S. News & World Report and Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education.
