(Victor Valley) – Kicking off Cal State San Bernardino’s 50th Anniversary will be the focus of the fall Convocation for 2015 on Monday, Sept. 21.
CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales, who is entering his fourth year in leading the university, will give the state of the university address, sharing its accomplishments during the past year and goals for the new academic year.
The 50th anniversary celebration features more than 150 special events scheduled during the school year to commemorate the university first opening its doors to students in 1965. The Convocation will conclude with a special 50th anniversary video presentation.
This year’s Convocation will be held at the university’s Coussoulis Arena and will begin at 9 a.m. There will be an informal reception beginning at 8 a.m. in the foyer outside the arena.
Convocation will be webcast live starting at 9 a.m. at 50.csusb.edu.
Fall classes start three days later on Thursday, Sept. 24.
