(Victorville)– On Friday, October 9, 2015 at 6pm “A Better Way” Domestic Violence Shelter and Outreach Program in partnership with the City of Victorville will host their Annual Candlelight Vigil. The Vigil will take place in the Victorville City Hall parking lot outside of the City Council Chamber entrance. In observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month the Candlelight Vigil is held to mourn the lives lost to domestic violence, celebrate the survivors and connect the community to continue the mission to end domestic violence.
The community is encouraged to attend the Candlelight Vigil. We are honored to partner and once again host this year’s Vigil at City Hall,” Domestic Violence is a crime that effects so many lives and often leads to a senseless loss of life. We applaude “A Better Way” for their 20 years plus of service to the High Desert and their commitment to keeping the memories of lives loss alive.
The Vigil will include the annual reading of victim names, guest speakers and lighting of candles.
