(Apple Valley)—Mild winds and heat advisory weather couldn’t keep the crowds away from the 14th Annual Apple Valley Airshow, which took place this Saturday at the Apple Valley Airport.
The event, which boasted an massive turnout from all across Southern California, had lots for attendees to partake in. With planes on the ground and in display, adults and children alike were able to get up close and personal with the various aircrafts. A car show was on site as well, with a variety of vehicles- from Volkswagen Beetles, Chevy El Camino’s to a tractor that blew everyone away.
There was a variety of vendors on site as well- Napa Auto Parts, who sponsored the event, had a very vibrant and colorful booth, Apple Valley Ranchos Water Co. provided water to all in need of refreshments on the extremely hot day, local charter schools were in attendance in the kids zone alongside face painters and a massive rock climbing wall. Food vendors packed quite a selection as well- where else can buy nachos, pizza, hot dogs, kettle corn, fresh lemonade and more in one place?
“I was absolutely impressed,” said Tiffany Rose of Victorville, who was attending her first airshow. “Not only by the artistry and precision of the pilots, but also by the attendance of schools, JROTC programs, and other members of the community in support of our Air Force and other service men and women.”
Make sure to attend next year’s 15th anniversary show, as it is bound to once again be fun for the entire family. Visit the Apple Valley Airshow online at www.sbcountywings.com.
