(Victor Valley)— Starting on Friday, the Los Angeles Convention Center will become a gathering of pop culture greatness as Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo takes Southern California by storm.
The first Comikaze Expo was held in 2011, and a year later had partnered with mega icons in the world of pop culture- Stan Lee, known as one of the co-creators of the entire Marvel Comics Universe, and Cassandra Peterson, better known as the Mistress of Darkness, Elvira. Both icons will be attending the convention, along with a host of guests including Carrie Fisher, the beloved Princess Leia from a small franchise known as Star Wars. Other guests include Todd McFarlane (Spawn, Image Comics Co-Founder), Grant Morrison (Animal Man, Klaus), Danielle Panabaker (The Flash), Dita Von Teese, Manu Bennett (Arrow) and more.
Reunions have been a theme for the expo, and this year is no different. This year, panels have been scheduled to reunite a variety of casts- from the hit show Sons of Anarchy, the childhood favorite Power Rangers, and the Nickelodeon shows The Adventures of Pete and Pete and All That. Bringing back casts from many young adults childhoods, Comikaze aims to bring nostalgia to the forefront. The Hot Topic main stage will also house acts and performances, including a demonstration from Medieval Times, the cast from the animated show, Adventure Time, and a Kid’s Costume Contest presented by Disney and Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur.
Tickets are still available for the Comikaze Expo. For tickets and more information, visit http://comikazeexpo.com/.
