(Victorville) – The High Desert might not be the first place you think of when it comes to hip music shows, but this Friday’s concert could change that.  Up-and-coming music star Keaton Simons will be performing this Friday at Sunset Hills in Apple Valley in a concert to benefit the Victor Elementary Education Foundation.

Simon’s music is a mixture of pop, rock and blues.  He can be heard on TV shows like Sons of Anarchy, NCIS, and Numb3rs. The Los Angeles Times described the voice of the SoCal native as having a “lived-in quality that will echo in our minds and hearts for years to come.”  His music can be found on iTunes, Spotify and Pandora.

The Victor Elementary Education Foundation provides competitive scholarships for two years of tuition and books at VVC or other approved local institute of higher learning to our own VESD 6th graders who meet the scholarship criteria when they graduate from local high schools.  Since 2013, 17 scholarships totaling over $60,000 have been awarded.  By purchasing a ticket, you will be making an investment in our student’s future and putting college within their reach.  Together, we can help make Victor Elementary students dreams come true!  See you there!

Doors open at 6 p.m. for a social hour and the show starts at 7 p.m.  Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased at  For more details, call VEEF at 760-245-1691.
