(Victorville) – Victor Valley Global Medical Center announced today that wound care nurse, Margarita “Rose” Villar, RN, BSN, WCC, received the esteemed National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy® (NAWCO®) Wound Care Certified Outstanding Achievement Award in diabetic wounds.
Rose received this award in mid-September at the 9th annual WOW (Wild on Wounds) conference in Las Vegas, NV in the “Paying it FORWARD” general session and is one of only three award recipients in the United States for 2015. The annual WOW conference is attended by over 1,100 clinicians, students, and industry experts and Rose received her award in her work with diabetic wounds; with other recipient awards in wound care research and overall achievement. “The skill and expertise of our team is something in which we are very proud to share with our community.
