(Victorville) – Medicare Open enrollment, also known as the Annual Election Period, is the period each year during which eligible seniors may change their Medicare Advantage plan and/or Part D coverage, and/or return to Original Medicare. Open Enrollment runs from October through December 7, 2015. Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group will hold over 60 free meetings in where professionals from all health plans will present opportunities for new benefits, savings and value to Medicare customers. Any plan changes you make during the Annual Election Period/Open Enrollment are effective January 1, 2016.
To be prepared for these meetings review your plan changes received. If you are in a Medicare Advantage and/or Part D plan, your plan will mail you an Annual Notice of Change by September 30 explaining its changes for 2015. For example, the Annual Notice of Change would include information such as your premium and copayment, if your plan’s provider network will change, and/or a list of drugs (called a formulary) that will be covered. Even if you like your current plan, review your plan’s changes for 2015 and compare other options to determine which 2015 plans have the coverage you need.
The Heritage Medical Group free Medicare Open Enrollment meetings are being held in Victorville, Big Bear and Barstow. The meetings take place beginning October 12 through December 6th 2015. To attend visit hvvmg.com or call (760) 245-4747 and ask to be scheduled for an Open Enrollment meeting.
