(Victorville)—On January 18th, Taylion High Desert Academy will be hosting a blood drive & marrow screening as LifeStream brings the bloodmobile to Taylion’s Victorville location.
The drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with appointments available as well. Every lifesaving donation participant will receive coupons for a free milkshake and two complimentary tacos for the local Jack in the Box, while supplies last. If teens ages 15 and 16 would like to donate, they will need to fill out a consent form and have it signed by their parent prior to donating. Forms are available at the Victorville Taylion location.
“Blood drives help the community in many different ways,” said Taylion Student Council member Danny Ramirez. “Drives can benefit everyone, not just our school, although it does help our school with gaining resources and shows the younger students the importance of helping others. It symbolizes that we’re ready to help out our fellow man.”
If you would like to make a donation appointment for January 18th, please contact Student Council Advisor Nolan Smith at (760) 843-6622 or by email at email@example.com.
