By Staff Reports

As part of the Safe and Sober Prom 2016 Campaign, Adelanto High School in conjunction with the California Highway Patrol will offer inexperienced drivers or students who would like a discount on their car insurance the opportunity to attend a Start Smart class at Adelanto High School’s Career Center on March 3. The class will be hosted by Officer Matthew Hunt and is free to all participants. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the class to use as proof for insurance discounts. The Safe and Sober Prom 2016 campaign is co-sponsored by the Friday Night Live Club at Adelanto High School, which aims to educate local youth about the dangers of drugs and alcohol while encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.
