Artist Fernando Torres Benefit Art Exhibition Opens at Victor Valley College April 23

(Victorville) – The works of late artist Fernando Torres will be on display at the Victor Valley College Performing Art Center Gallery, April 23 at 4pm. This special showing of art is a preliminary event to the Victor Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Cinco de Mayo Celebration on April 30 at the college.

Fernando Torres was a well known and loved local artist and editor of the Hispanic Edition of the Daily Press Newspaper who’s colorful and thoughtful painted images touched and lifted countless lives throughout his career.

The benefit art show was created by the non-profit art organization tpsCreative Expressions to establish The Fernando Torres Memorial Youth Art Program which will provide important creative experiences in the arts for youth 5 -12 years of age in the High Desert Community. A portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will provide art materials and space for summer workshops in the arts.
