(Victorville) – The Victor Valley College Foundation announced that Dr. Dino Bozonelos will be a featured speaker at the 2016 High Desert Economic Summit. The regional economic conference presented by Desert Valley Hospital and Desert Valley Medical Group will be held May 5, 2016.
Dr. Bozonelos’ presentation will examine the workforce crisis and how millennials will fit into an emerging enterprise. Millennials are the largest generation in history and are moving into their prime spending years. Undoubtedly, millennials are poised to reshape the economy – their unique experiences will change the way we buy and sell, forcing high desert businesses to examine how they do business for decades to come.
“As a former student of Dr. Bozonelos, I am thrilled to have him present on the workforce crisis. Millennials have come of age during a time of technological change, globalization, and global economic recession. These factors have given millennials a different set of behaviors and experiences than their parents that play critically into their lifestyles and purchasing habits,” said Dillon Lesovsky, an alumnus Victor Valley College.
Dr. Dino Bozonelos is an associate professor of political science at Victor Valley College and California State University, San Marcos. He holds a Ph.D in political science from University of California, Riverside. Finally, Dr. Bozonelos has been an editor for numerous journals in business and management, political economy, religion and politics.
Dr. Bozonelos will join keynote speaker Dr. Christopher Thornberg, Director of the Center for Economic Forecasting and Development at UC Riverside. Thornberg, who is considered to be one of the nation’s leading economists, will provide a robust analysis of data to offer local developers, businesses, government and investors with actionable information to enhance long-term decision making in our local community.
The 2016 High Desert Economic Summit will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Victorville, CA on May 5, 2016. Tickets can be purchased for $75 at www.highdeserteconomicsummit.com.
