Liberty Utilities Apple Valley to Host Fifth-Annual Spring Conservation Fair

(Apple Valley) – Liberty Utilities Apple Valley (Liberty Utilities) today announced that the Fifth-Annual Spring Conservation Fair will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 10 am-2 pm at Lions Park in Apple Valley. The family-friendly event will feature a demonstration garden and a series of informational workshops on gardening, landscaping and irrigation. Local experts will also be on hand to provide tips on pool safety, inform the community how to read a water meter and much more.

The fair will also feature special guest Mychal Fabela, host of Y102’s High School Sports Zone, from 10 am-noon, and The Greasewood Brothers will perform live from noon-2 pm. In addition to the entertainment and informational programs, the fair will include raffles, giveaways, activities for children, food vendors and booths highlighting products and services to help customers achieve their conservation goals, as well as public safety and education programs. Also this year, the first 100 mothers attending the fair will receive a special Mother’s Day gift.

“Liberty Utilities is proud to host this annual community event,” said Norma Armenta, Water Conservation Coordinator for Liberty Utilities Apple Valley. “The Spring Conservation Fair is our signature event. It’s an opportunity for our team to meet with our customers and neighbors to share information and tips in a fun and engaging environment.


“California is in a severe drought, and our community has heeded the call to reduce water use. Customers who attend the fair will get to learn about all of the resources Liberty Utilities Apple Valley makes available to help them maximize their water-use efficiency, including water-saving devices, rebates and programs.”

The Fair is co-sponsored by Burrtec, Desert Feed, Fireman Rock & Nursery, High Desert Underground, Inland Water Works Supply Company, Mark and Nellie’s Nursery, Merrell Johnson Companies, and Mojave Water Agency.
