Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Holds Annual Stroke Summit for Healthcare Professionals during American Stroke Month

(Victor Valley)– Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is hosting “Extending Access to Stroke Treatment – A New Era of Stroke Management” for healthcare workers including physicians, nurses, emergency medical technicians, and all allied health professionals. Taking place during American Stroke Month, the event will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Friday, May 20, 2016, in the Oak Conference Room at ARMC.

ARMC was highlighted in the American Heart Association’s 2015 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals recognition advertisement. The hospital was recognized as a Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award winner, for its commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for stroke patients. ARMC has also met specific scientific guidelines as a Primary Stroke Center, featuring a comprehensive system for rapid diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients admitted to the emergency department.

ARMC received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll. The award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success, ensuring that stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
